The General Assembly of Shareholders elects the Management Board, a collective executive body in order to provide efficient management of the bank activity.
The Management Board is responsible for implementation of the targets, strategy and policy of the bank determined by the General Assembly of Shareholders and the Supervisory Board of the Bank. Presently the Management Board has 3 members.
Mr. MICHAEL HOFFMANN
Chairman of the Management Board
Before joining AccessBank, Michael Hoffmann had been with the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) from 2005 to 2012. As the Head of the EBRD Volga Federal District Resident Office he was responsible for developing the business with corporations, public entities and banks in the Volga Federal District of Russia. Mr. Hoffmann started his career in 1996 with HSH Nordbank AG, where he was a.o. responsible for the bank’s business in the Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) as the Head of the Tallinn Representative Office Furthermore, Mr. Hoffmann was a member of the Board of Directors of GM-АvtoVAZ (2008-2012), a joint venture between General Motors and АutoVAZ based in Tolyatti (Russia). The JV manufactures cars under the Chevrolet Niva brand. Mr. Hoffmann holds an Executive MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, and a diploma in Economics from Kiel University. He also studied political sciences and Slavic languages in Munster University. Born in Germany, Mr. Hoffmann is fluent in German, English and Russian.
Mr. ANAR HASANOV
Joined AccessBank in September 2002 as a Micro Loan Officer. Firstly was promoted to a Senior Loan Officer and then to the SME Department. In July 2006 he was appointed to the newly created post of Head of Retail Banking and had a leading role in setting up and developing AccessBank’s Banking Services, Plastic Cards and Consumer Lending departments as well as deposit products. In September 2007 Mr. Hasanov was appointed to the Management Board. Mr. Hasanov graduated from Istanbul University. He holds a Master’s Degree in Banking and Lending from Azerbaijan State Economic University and graduated from Banking High School in Philadelphia. He is Azeri and is fluent in Azerbaijani, Turkish, Russian and English.
Dr. ROLF REICHARDT
Executive Director Finance/Treasury
Before joining AccessBank in May 2014, Rolf Reichardt had worked for more than 20 years in various risk management functions for some of the largest German banks. Previously, he was the treasurer of Dexia Kommunalbank AG. He is a member of the ALM committee of ACI Germany. Furthermore, he contributed to academic research on accounting and finance issues. Rolf Reichardt received his PhD from Goethe University Frankfurt. He studied economics at the Universities of Auckland (New Zealand), Kiel (Germany), and Utah (USA). Born in Germany, he speaks fluently German, English, French, and basic Russian.
Mr. TARIYEL ISMAYILOV
Executive Director Micro Lending/Credit Back Office
Mr. Ismayilov started his career in AccessBank as a micro loan officer in 2003. In 2006 he was appointed as a Manager of «Gandja» Branch. In 2008 he was promoted to the Head of the Micro Lending Department and to Regional Manager of the Western region. In September 2013 Mr. Ismayilov was appointed to Executive Director of Micro Lending/Credit Back Office. Tariyel Ismayilov graduated from Azerbaijan National Aviation Academy in «Economics & Law». He obtained a master’s degree and completed his post-graduate study at Azerbaijan State Technological University. He is Azeri and is fluent in Azeri, Russian and English.
Mr. KENAN AGAYEV
Executive Director SME Lending/Corporate Services
Mr. Agayev started his career in AccessBank as loan officer of micro lending in April 2003. In June 2004 he continued as loan officer of SME lending and started soon to lead this unit. In 2006 he was appointed to a Branch Manager of the “Babek” branch and worked at this position until 2010. In 2010 he was promoted to the Head of SME department. In September 2013 he was appointed to Executive Director for SME Lending/Corporate Services. Mr. Agayev graduated from the Azerbaijan State Economic University and gained a bachelor and a master’s degree in “Finance & Credit”. He holds a post-graduate degree in “Mathematical and Instrumental Methods in Economy” from the Institute of Science and Research on Economic Reforms of the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan Republic. Kenan Agayev is Azeri and is fluent in Azeri, Russian and English.
Mr. ELSHAN HAJIYEV
Executive Director Finance/Control
Before joining AccessBank Mr. Hajiyev had worked at HSBC Bank in Baku as a financial control supervisor for 6 years and, prior to that, at the Industrial Investment Bank of Azerbaijan in Baku and for Menatep Bank in Moscow. Since the foundation of AccessBank Mr Hajiyev was the Head of the Finance and Accounting Department. In 2013 he was appointed as Executive Director for Finance/Control. Mr Hajiyev holds a master’s degree in “Motor Transport Economics and Organization” from the Moscow Institute for Roads and Motor Transport and a diploma in financial services management from the Institute of Financial Services, UK (former Chartered Institute of Bankers). Mr. Hajiyev is Azeri and is fluent in Azeri, Russian and English.
MR. VASYL MELNYCHUK
Executive Director IT
Before starting his activity in AccessBank in May 2015, Vasyl Melnychuk had acted as a chairman of the project committee for six years, as a member of the Management Board of the Ukrainian section of the Austrian Volksbank Group in Lvov city. In 1998 Mr. Melnychuk joined the team, which had launched the Ukrainian subsidiary bank of Dutch ING financial group, later worked on the international project of ING in Afghanistan for three years. Vasyl Melnychuk established IT-infrastructure of the new bank for shareholders of several international holdings and Asian Development Bank. During his activity Vasyl Melnychuk actively participated at international IT conferences, the Financial Technology Services Summit and several times read reports on disaster recovery and information security. Vasyl Melnychuk graduated from UNTU Kiyev Polytechnic Institut on engineering specialty and Interregional Personnel Management Academy on the specialty of finance, obtained CISA certificate. He is Ukrainian and fluently speaks Ukrainian, Russian and English.
